Outdoorhubben Friluftsgården

Östersund is perfect for adventurous excursions at Lake Storsjön and on land, and in mid-June the outdoor hub Friluftsgården at Sjötorget in Badhusparken will be inaugurated.

In the boat sheds in Badhusparken you can rent bicycles and inflatable paddle boards. Here you will find everything from city bikes to mountain bikes that can handle logs and rocks to electric bikes, box bikes and scooters. Here, Lagg and Hoj are on site and can give you inspiration for your explorations.

You can also rent a bike online at Lagg & Hoj, but it’s also fine to stop by at the drop-in.

Examples of Bicycles:
City bikes women’s model with basket 7 speed, SEK 160/day
MTB hardtail, SEK 300/day
MTB fully damped for both downhill and trail, SEK 490/day, protection is added
Box bike for two children, SEK 590/day
Electric kickbikes for adults, SEK 95/hour, maximum three hour rental time

If you want to rent a SUP board – visit Jämtlands SUP a few days in advance, and you can pick up your SUP board in the Outdoor hub. At Jämtland SUP you can also book SUP lessons and SUP tours.

If you’d rather relax and have a little quieter time on land, there are comfortable sun loungers to settle down in along the beach in Badhusparken. Badhusparken’s Café is open and right next to it are both the Seaport Restaurant and Marité restaurants.

Opening hours: Wednesday- Saturday 11 am-4 pm
Prices bikes: See Lagg & Hoj
Prices SUP-boards and SUP-tours: See Jämtlands SUP
