Go alpine skiing

Close to city centre

When you are in Östersund, you do not have to go to the mountains to find a ski slope. Just a few minutes from the center of Östersund, there are both Gustavsbergsbacken and Ladängen that suit both the driven skier and the beginner. If the amount of snow allows, a fun park is built every winter in Ladängen, which is much appreciated. Litsbacken, which is located about 30 km from Östersund, offers a good children’s and family slope.

Suites adults and children

Gustavsbergsbacken lights up Frösöberget when you stand in the city and look west. The hill has a nice drop and a beautiful view of Östersund in winter clothes.
In the lower part is the children’s slope Silverling with a button lift. Adjacent to the hill is a café with coffee and food to buy in wintertime.

Opening hours during the winter from December – April

The otherside of Frösöberget

Ladängen is the ski slope on the other side of Frösöberget. The same lift pass applies and if you carry the skis a few meters, you can walk between the slopes. Ladängen has two slopes and a fun park with big and small jumps. Perfect for families with children who want to play, do tricks and practice on real carving turns. Close to the slope there is a café and a barbecue area.

Opening hours during the winter from December – April
